Hi ${first_name},
I subscribe to Google Alerts about ISO 14001 because I like to keep up to date with industry trends and low and behold – I found I was the expert featured on an accounting site! Home made video where I recorded myself but it has had well over 8,000 viewings now. Go check it out. The pricing quoted is for the Do-It-Yourself ISO 14001 version which now retails for $770 including 30 minutes of one-on- one coaching

Wow - Did I get misunderstood
I think I hit a nerve there. I had irate readers who thought controlling sickies was outrageous and I got support from managers who went even further.
If you missed it, I said that an estimated that half a million Aussies took a "sickie" on Monday for a 4-day week end. Great with paid leave or else it is theft.
The yellow highlighting is really important for managers to have in place because it actually prevents problems and resentment.
Employers need clear company policies where you also set up dress codes if needed, smoking guidelines, email, "foreign" software, internet browsing, phone, mobile and texting guidelines ...etc so that the ground rules are clear and you have no need to be either heavy handed or exploited. This is simply good management!
And a quick note to remind those who are interested that the new ISO 14001 course starts THIS week and is the last one at 2009 prices and the next, in around 6-8 weeks, will be more realistically priced. But you have to register by Thursday morning 4th February so that I can get the materials to you to start making real productivity changes in your business now. Your first phone conference will be on the following Tuesday Morning

Now we can hopefully begin to have the debate that we need on greenhouse emission policy.
The Coalition have released their version and I have copied their major bullet points for you and a link to the rest.

This is currently in the news with the Prime Minister advocating growth and a new report out.
Almost inevitably two things will happen to our population.
- It will increase and the estimates are from 22.2 million now to 25.7 million in 2020 and to 35.9 million in 2050, according to a recent report.
- And secondly, it will age. From 13 per cent of us now aged 65 or older to nearly 23 per cent being so in 2050. This will have interesting impacts on tax and retirement age won’t it?
And how does provision of infrastructure, water and energy come into this?
I talked about this last year but here is more support for a smart electrical power grid because this could decrease annual electric energy use and utility sector carbon emissions at least 12 percent by 2030, according to a new report from the US Department of Energy’s Pacific Northwest National Laboratory......................
Environmentally friendly practices are currently one of the biggest issues in many businesses, not only because of public demand, but also because there are important savings to be had in the long-run.
Not so long ago environmentally sustainable practices were considered an expensive fad. Now increasing numbers of businesses want to obtain the much sought-after environmental certificate, ISO 14001...................
